Asuka Surpasses Goldberg's Undefeated Streak, Goldberg Responds

Asuka has officially beaten the streak.

Goldberg began his career on an undefeated run that was said to have lasted 173 matches. That number was undoubtedly inflated, but it is officially recognized in the WWE Record Books. Asuka debuted in NXT at Takeover: Respect on October 7, 2015, and from that night on, her record has remained unblemished.

The number of matches in her undefeated streak is up for discussion; some counts have her breaking the record as long as a month ago, but we didn't have confirmation until last night, when Asuka Tweeted this out:

And Goldberg, magnanimous guy that he is, Tweeted a gracious response:

Asuka recently defeated Ruby Riot and NIkki Cross at Takeover Chicago, and several top main roster talents have fallen victim to the Empress of Tomorrow during her undefeated streak, including Bayley, Nia Jax, Emma, and Dana Brooke.
