So about a week ago, current RAW Tag Champ Sheamus posted this on Twitter:
The one title missing from that trophy case is the Intercontinental Title, currently held by The Miz, and Sheamus just said: "it will be mine."
Well, The Miz seems to disagree.
I think we can classify that last Tweet as a direct threat. Look out, Miz. You've got a Celtic Warrior coming to steal your stuff.
But that was a week ago.
Last night, Matt Hardy showed off an even more impressive trophy collection of his own.
He wasn't specific about which championships he wanted to go after.
However, this time The Miz decided to stir things up on his own.
Big mistake.
Because now he's got Matt Hardy riled up into his "Broken" persona.
And now that you mention it, Miz, the IC Title would look great in House Hardy's trophy case.
You should have kept your mouth shut.
Also, it should be noted that Heath Slater, while not a belt collector per se, is a former Tag Champion, and having just pinned The Miz on Monday Night, he seems to think he deserves a match for the Intercontinental Title as well.
Oh no, wait. No, on further examination, it appears he wants a shot at the Intercontinental "TITAL", whatever that is.
False alarm.
