Charlotte Flair Says WWE Is "A Whole Different Ball Game" Compared To NXT

Charlotte Flair says the WWE Performance Center allows wrestlers "to skip a few steps", but urges patience to the wrestlers currently in NXT.

In an interview with The Independent, Charlotte Flair told the story of her rise through WWE and its developmental program. She started in Florida Championship Wrestling but once NXT had its own championships and was aired on the network, she said things took off quickly. She said now the developmental program has everything an aspiring WWE wrestler could need and can see how the new WWE Performance Center could affect wrestler's attitudes.

“The new talent that comes in now just goes to the WWE Performance Center with state-of-the-art facilities; they didn’t see what it was like to go from Tampa to that or when we were just doing shows in Florida," said Flair. "Now they go all over the country and overseas, so it is a slow progress and when you think you’re ready, you’re not ready – when I got to the main roster I was still learning – and still am. So maybe the girls are now impatient but it is a process. They have been able to skip a few steps with how NXT is now and you want to go through it faster and say ‘I’m ready, I’m ready,'" she continued.

Flair said she is certain NXT Coaching staff can help NXT's Women understand how WWE works.

"I see how it’s hard, but it’s a whole different ball game up here. I’m sure if the girls are (becoming impatient), someone like Sara Del Ray who is the rock for the women down there can talk them through the fact that this is a waiting game,” said Flair.

She recently moved to Smackdown during the Superstar Shakeup. Flair has already had a championship match on Smackdown and told The Independent about her excitement for being on a new brand. Flair said new opponents can re-energize wrestlers.
