CM Punk Says WWE Needs More People Like Bob Holly In The Locker Room

CM Punk may be completely out of pro wrestling, but he's not completely out of opinions on sports entertainment.

During his annual interview with Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting, CM Punk recalled his early days of WWE, in particular an incident involving former WWE Hardcore Champion Bob "Hardcore" Holly.

"Bob Holly punched me in the eye as hard as he can on my first Christmas loop. I love Bob, though," Punk said with a laugh. "That business needs more people like him right about now. There's nobody in that locker room that's in a good way, an enforcer. Nobody's going to pick up the locker room, nobody's going to clean up after themselves. It was happening when I was there, I was the guy picking stuff up. Eddie Guerrero would say 'will you pick up the locker room before you go?' and I'd say 'yes sir.' There's a lot of slobs. You see people take their wrist tape off in the locker room and just throw it on the ground next to a trash can. If you have a guy like Bob in the locker room, you're not trying to do that shit."

Punk said after that statement that he doesn't keep tabs on pro wrestling, and doesn't watch it anymore after adding "I'm not there, so who gives a shit?"

Punk will fight Mickey Gall this Saturday night at UFC 203 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
