Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series: Episode 2 Card Set

The card is set for the next edition of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series, the main event will take place on the light heavyweight division as Dan Spohn faces Angel DeAnda.

Spohn (15-5-0) enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak and he is the current Alpha One Sports: IT Fight Series Light Heavyweight Champion. Spohn did fight one time in the UFC, which was a unanimous decision loss to Patrick Walsh at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. Spohn also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19, making it to the semi-finals before losing to Matt Van Buren.

DeAnda (18-5-0) will enter the fight on the strength of a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years. DeAnda also competed twice in the World Series Of Fighting, dropping fights to Tyrone Spong and Krasimir Mladenov. DeAnda is also a longtime veteran of the Tachi Palace Fighting promotion, winning a total of five fights there.

Other fights on the card will see Alfred Khashakyan take on Sean O’Malley, Thanh Le faces Lazar Stojadinovic, Michael Cora versus Sidney Outlaw and CJ Hamilton battles Casey Kenney.

Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series: Episode 2 takes place on Tuesday, July 18 from the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada with Dan Spohn and Angel DeAnda headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
