Dana White Says Conor McGregor Will Be Fighting In The UFC Next

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been teasing a fight for quite some time now.

However, according to UFC President Dana White, McGregor will be competing in the Octagon for his next fight.

“We’re nowhere. We’re nowhere with it. We’re nowhere (with the boxing fight). I expect Conor’s next fight to be in the UFC, in mixed martial arts, and the winner of Khabib [Nurmagomedov] and [Tony] Ferguson. The thing’s gonna be millions of dollars. The guy could make anywhere from 30 to 60 million bucks,” White said to TMZ.

McGregor hasn’t competed since UFC 205, where he defeated Eddie Alvarez by second round knockout to win the UFC Lightweight Title. The Irishman should be facing the winner of the UFC 209 bout between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov, two men that White says can't stand one another.

“Khabib and Ferguson hate each other. Those guys hate each other. That’s fight’s gonna be good. It’s gonna be a good fight. Two nasty guys - number one and number two in the world. Doesn’t get any better than that,” says White.

Conor has stated in the past that he will not be competing in any way until the birth of his first child is completes, which should be happening in the next couple of months.
