Dana White Talks Post-Fight Meeting With Ronda Rousey

UFC President Dana White was sitting octagon-side at UFC 207 when former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was thoroughly beaten by Amanda Nunes. However, White was also backstage with Rousey after the defeat, something he spoke about with ESPN.

“I must have tears, blood and boogers all over my f—ing jacket. I went in there and hugged her for 45 minutes. I told her, ‘I love you so much, and whatever you want to do next, I got your back. You built this. This doesn’t exist without you. You’re the best decision I ever made’,” White stated.

Rousey has yet to state any future plans, whether it would be inside of or outside of the octagon, although her mother has stated that she would like to see her daughter retire from competition. Rousey has also been fielding interest from the WWE, as WWE official Stephanie McMahon has stated in the past that the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion would be welcome in the squared circle.

Rousey is now riding a two fight losing streak under the UFC banner, the other loss came to Holly Holm at UFC 193, that loss was the first of her professional MMA career.
