In case you weren't paying attention to RAW on Monday Night, Lavar Ball, who is famous for turning the good fortune of being the father of two very good basketball players and making it all about him, guest starred on RAW this week. As a shameless self-promoter and a delusional narcissist, Ball made an utter fool of himself, and depending on how you feel about him as a whole, you either found it wholly entertaining or you were completely disgusted by him. Curtis Axel was firmly in the second camp.
In the video interview at the top of the page, David Otunga told TMZ Sports that he thought Ball was "the most entertaining part of the show", but he called the segment "a train wreck" (which it objectively was) because he didn't know what Ball was going to do next. Nevertheless, Otunga said that he hopes WWE has him back on the show because he wants to do a segment with Ball. Now, of course, because TMZ has all the subtlety of a Baron Corbin promo, they turned this into him wanting to wrestle the 48-year-old former NFL practice-squadder.
Still, Otunga's rolling with it, though, and posted a caption on his Instagram that he wants Vince McMahon to make the match.
Unfortunately, due to all the negative press Ball and his sons are getting after one of them casually dropped an N-Bomb into a live mic, I don't think Otunga should hold his breath for that repeat performance he's looking for.
Now, on the other side of things, Braun Strowman was definitely on the side of "this guy needs a beating."
Corey Graves posted something to his Instagram, comparing Ball to Mama June, the matriarch of the family on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," and one of the most notorious stage moms in history.
Braun, whose real name is Adam Scherr, commented about Ball that he wanted to "stomp him out."
Lavar Ball, you've made a powerful enemy, my friend.
