Dean Ambrose Talks His 'Mania Match With Brock Lesnar, Is Happiest When He's "Coughin' Up Blood And Sh-t"

The Lunatic Fringe is looking to wipe away the bad taste left in the mouths of fans after his match at WrestleMania 32.

Dean Ambrose is currently the WWE Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown Live, and appears to be heading towards a program with Baron Corbin for the strap at Wrestlemania 33.

Last year though at the "Showcase of the Immortals" at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Ambrose squared off Brock Lesnar. The latter won the match, which was heavily panned due to it being short and the "Lunatic Fringe" hardily getting in any offense. In an interview with Top Turnbuckle, the former WWE world heavyweight champion gave his thoughts on the match--well, kind of.

"The thing is, WrestleMania is a night - that's a night you don't want to have any regrets about and ya wanna be able to just, ya wanna, go out there and lay everything on the line," Ambrose stated. "Ya know? So, for me, I do that every single night."

Recently, former WWE champion and Hall of Famer, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin said it appeared Ambrose appeared to be in cruise control and resting on his laurels. Ambrose was going to respond on why the comments bothered him, backtracked and defended himself on the claims.

"Yeah, that would kind of bother me - when you're like the hardest working guy in the company and killing yourself, I've been - I've not taken so much as a day off, that's just the way I am, ya know?," Ambrose exclaimed. "I'm happier when I'm going like 30 minutes every night, getting' tossed around and then come back to the locker room and like, my nose is bleeding, I'm coughing up blood and s---, and like, hurt, sweatin' and I feeling completely tired and exhausted, that's when I feel like 'aw, okay' at the end of the day. I feel like I need to get that out every single night, that's the 'fun' for me."

Wrestlemania 33 takes place on Sunday, April 2 from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida and can be seen on the WWE Network.
