Drew McIntyre Captures NXT Heavyweight Title At WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, Roode Reacts

History has been made in the main event of WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III as Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Roode to win the WWE NXT Heavyweight Title.

McIntyre now becomes the thirteenth WWE NXT Heavyweight Champion in the history of the brand. McIntyre was just one of two to capture gold at the event, as Sanity also won the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles

They get back in the ring and Drew goes for another Claymore, but Roode counters with a spinebuster. They counter each other's DDTs before Roode hits the Glorious DDT for a very close near fall. Roode then hits another Glorious DDT before Drew hits a Claymore oout of nowhere for the pin and the win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre via pinfall

After the match, the highly speculated WWE debut of former Ring Of Honor World Champion Adam Cole took place. Bobby Roode also had his reaction to the loss caught by WWE cameras, which you can see below.
