Marloes Coenen told Fightful.com she wouldn't look beyond her ill-fated Bellator 163 fight, because the future is uncertain. Coenen is sure of one thing -- she's not going back to 135 pounds.

When asked about the possibility of returning to the weight division where she won a Strikeforce title, Coenen. said she also worried about her longtime rival Cris Cyborg's cut as well.

"135 was hell. It was really hell. Making weight was one thing but to recover from that and be able to fight five times, five minutes in a cage, that wasn’t a lot of fun. When I’m fighting at 145 I feel very strong and empowered and my mind is good and…it’s really hard to explain but it’s such a world of difference. If I look at Cyborg for instance, I don’t know how she makes 140 at all. When I heard she was attempting to go to 140 I was really afraid something would happen with her. To put in words, it’s hard to tell but to me the biggest thing is having energy or having no energy at all," Coenen explained to Fightful in an exclusive interview.

Coenen is looking to rebound from a loss to Alexis Dufresne at Bellator 155. Dufresne took the fight on short notice and came in overweight, causing Bellator President Scott Coker to render the fight simply out of the division. Coenen said that Dufresne turned down a re-match, saying Dufresne only wanted to fight for the title. Coenen gave Dufresne props for her technique, but not the lack of respect.

"Actually she missed weight 3 times in a row, it was 7 pounds this time or even more. I don’t know exactly anymore," said Coenen. "She was very disrespectful towards my trainer. It was really dumb on my side so I take it was my own fault. I was so aggressive, I was so mad at her the only things I wanted to do was bring her in agony. I was like, “I will pay you this back.” Then I also underestimated her and then I was in the cage with her and I heard—I thought they said 10 seconds—but actually they said 30 seconds and I got mad with myself for taking this fight to the second round. She made a beautiful transition, she was really good at that and my arm said snap and it really hurt for a long time. So, all props to her for doing an amazing transition but I don’t think she respects the game, the fans, Bellator, whoever," Coenen said.

Coenen was scheduled to face Talita Noguiera at Bellator 163, but Noguiera also missed weight and the fight was scrapped.
