Match By Match Recap

Kushida & Hirai Kawato vs. Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

The match begins with Kanemaru stomping on Kawato before nailing him with a back body drop, Kanemaru nails Kawato with a suplex before tagging Desparado in. Desparado throws Kawato out of the ring before tossing him into the barricade, Desparado tosses Kawato back in the ring before slamming him for a near fall. Desparado locks Kawato in the chin lock to slow things down further, Kawato breaks the hold by getting to the ropes. Desparado chops Kawato before tagging Kanemaru in, Kanemaru slams and stomps on a downed Kawato. Kanemaru follows that up by attacking a cornered Kawato with some strikes, Kanemaru locks Kawato in the camel clutch. Kawato breaks free and he tries fighting back, Kushida gets the tag and he cleans house on his opponents.

Kushida rolls up Kanemaru while nailing Desparado with a Germans suplex for a near fall, Kanemaru nails a kicking Kushida in the knee. Kanemaru shoves the referee into Kushida before nailing him with a drop kick, Kushida recovers to take out both opponents with a double handspring elbow strike. Kawato gets the tag and he drops Desparado with a flying forearm strike, Kawato goes to the top rope and he catches Desparado with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Kawato locks Desparado in the Boston crab and he releases it as Kanemaru interferes, Desparado catches Kawato with a spine buster into a single leg crab and Kawato gets to the ropes. Kushida and Kanemaru are battling on the arena floor, Kawato rolls up Desparado a few times for a few near falls. Desparado catches Kawato with a spear from out of nowhere for a two count, Desparado hits Kawato with a spinning tiger bomb for the three count.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

After the match, El Desparado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru attack Kushida and Hirai Kawato on the arena floor.

Third Generation (Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan) vs. Yoshi Tatsu, Henare & Toshiyuki Oka

The match begins with a brawl breaking out between all six competitors in the match, Henare and Oka drop Kojima with a double shoulder tackle. Kojima is triple teamed in the ring by his opposition, Kojima fights back and attacks his tormentors with chops. Kojima knocks everyone out of the ring other than Henare before getting a near fall on him, Nagata tags in and he works over the midsection of Henare. Tenzan tags in and he catches Henare with some Mongolian chops, Tenzan corners Henare before attacking him with more Mongolian chops. Tenzan charges at Henare to nail him with a clothesline that is followed by a suplex for a near fall, Tenzan misses the falling headbutt and that allows Henare to tag Tatsu in.

Tatsu immediately attacks and drops Tenzan with a series of kicks to the midsection, Tatsu then drops Tenzan with a spin kick for a near fall. Tenzan fights back by catching Tatsu with some Mongolian chops and a Samoan drop, Nagata tags in and he attacks Tatsu with a series of kicks. Tatsu and Nagata then get into a forearm strike exchange in the center of the ring, Tatsu then drops a charging Nagata with a kick to the midsection before tagging Oka in. Oka and Nagata have a forearm strike exchange in the center of the ring, Nataga then catches Oka with a kick to the face. Oka recovers by hitting Nagata with a shoulder tackle and belly to belly suplex for a near fall, Oka locks Nagata in a Boston crab until a brawl breaks out between all six competitors once again. Nagata nails Oka with an exploder suplex and a crossface submission is applied to force a tap out.

Winners: Third Generation (Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan)

Tiger Mask IV, Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Chaos (Will Ospreay, Jado & Gedo)

The match begins with Shibata and Ospreay going through a series of reversals, Shibata and Ospreay also start working over each others arms. Shibata catches Ospreay with a knee lift before applying a head lock, Ospreay breaks free and he holds Shibata in a head scissors for a short time. Jado and Liger get the tags from their respective partners, they exchange shoulder tackles until Gedo and Ospreay interfere. Liger takes out Jado with a palm strike before Gedo uses illegal tactics to trap Liger in the corner, Gedo crushes Liger with a plethora of stomps in the corner. Jado tags back in and he stomps on Liger as well, Ospreay tags in now and he drops Liger with a flying forearm strike for a near fall. Gedo tags back in and he rakes the eyes of Liger, Liger tries fighting back and Gedo quickly traps him in the corner.

Jado interferes and Liger takes him and Gedo out with a double DDT, Mask IV tags in and he cleans house with the opposition. Mask IV then hits Gedo with a kick to the face before nailing him with a tiger driver for a near fall, Gedo recovers to hit Mask IV with an atomic drop and a super kick. Ospreay tags in and he immediately kicks Shibata off of the ring apron, Ospreay then connects with a springboard elbow strike on Mask IV for a near fall. Shibata interferes and Ospreay takes him out with a drop kick, Shibata hits Mask IV with a spin kick followed by the Ospreay Cutter for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Will Ospreay, Jado & Gedo)

After the match, Katsuyori Shibata tries attacking Will Ospreay and Ospreay takes him out with the Ospreay Cutter.

Yoshi-Hashi vs. Takashi Iizuka w/El Desparado

The match begins with Yoshi-Hashi jumping Iizuka on the arena floor, Iizuka recovers and he throws Yoshi-Hashi into the barricade. Iizuka takes Yoshi-Hashi into the crowd before nailing him with a chair, Iizuka proceeds to then stomp on a downed Yoshi-Hashi. Iizuka drags Yoshi-Hashi over to the commentary area before smashing his head on the announcers table, Iizuka grabs another chair and he chokes Yoshi-Hashi with it. Iizuka goes in the ring and Yoshi-Hashi eventually follows him in there, Yoshi-Hashi is still down and Iizuka proceeds to stomp on him before choking him. Iizuka grabs the microphone cable and he chokes Yoshi-Hashi with it, Iizuka stops choking Yoshi-Hashi to stomp on him some more. Iizuka traps Yoshi-Hashi in the corner before stomping on him some more, Yoshi-Hashi catches a charging Iizuka with a boot to the face that’s followed by a drop kick.

Yoshi-Hashi attacks Iizuka with a series of chops before nailing him with a rolling neck breaker, Yoshi-Hashi then connects with a running chop before placing him on the top rope to land a drop kick for a near fall. Iizuka fights back and Yoshi-Hashi nails him with forearm strikes, Iizuka drops Yoshi-Hashi with an atomic drop before getting a chain out of his pocket. Iizuka chokes and tries pinning Yoshi-Hashi with the chain around his neck until the referee notices it, Yoshi-Hashi recovers to hit Iizuka with a lariat. Yoshi-Hashi goes for the swanton bomb and Iizuka gets his knees up, Iizuka goes for a metal glove and he tries hitting Yoshi-Hashi with it, Yoshi-Hashi knocks it out of his hand to nail him with a lung blower and running forearm strike. Yoshi-Hashi hits Iizuka with a Yoshi Driver for the three count.

Winner: Yoshi-Hashi

Dragon Lee, Ryusuke Taguchi, Manobu Nakanishi, Hiroyoshi Tanahashi & Michael Elgin vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Bushi, Sanada & Hiromu Takahashi)

The match begins with Lee and Takahashi exchanging chops in the middle of the ring, Takahashi and Lee exchange hurricaranas as well. Elgin tags in and Naito tags in as well before taunting the big man, Sanada and Bushi jump Elgin before Elgin takes all of them out with power moves. Elgin grabs Naito and he plants him with a delayed verticle suplex before tagging Taguchi in, Taguchi starts hitting Naito with some hip attacks. Tanahashi tags in and he attacks Naito with hip attacks as well, Nakanishi tags in and he catches Naito with hip attacks as well. Elgin tags back in and he plants Naito with another hip attack, Taguchi tags back in and he eventually throws Naito out of the ring.

Lee comes in the ring and he takes out Takahashi with a suicide dive, Sanada hits the ring and he drops Taguchi with a drop kick. A brawl breaks out on the arena floor between all the competitors as Sanada chokes Taguchi in the ring, Sanada then hits a downed Nakanishi with a drop kick as the brawl continues. Naito nails a downed Taguchi with a low drop kick for the near fall, Evil tags in and he clobbers Taguchi with a senton bomb for a near fall. Evil slows things down further by holding Taguchi in the chin lock, Taguchi fights back and Evil drops him with a chop. Taguchi tries fighting back again and he nails Evil with a springboard hip attack, Elgin tags in and he nails Evil with an enzaguri followed by a slingshot splash.

Elgin starts cleaning house on all five members of the opposing team, Elgin then takes out Naito most of Los Ingobernables with German suplexes. Elgin catches Evil with another enzaguri before planting him with a dead lift German suplex for a near fall, Evil is then assaulted by all five members of the opposing team. Tanahashi and Evil exchange holds until Tanahashi catches him with a spinning neck breaker, Takahashi and Lee get the tags from their respective partners. Lee then hits Takahashi with a German suplex followed by a knee strike, Takahashi recovers by nailing Lee with an exploder suplex. Bushi tags in and he catches Lee with an enzaguri followed by a lung blower, Lee is then triple teamed by members of the opposing team for a near fall.

A brawl breaks out once again on the arena floor between the majority of the wrestlers in the match, Tanahashi goes to the top rope and Naito follows him up there. Elgin grabs Naito and he power bombs him onto his teammates on the arena floor, Tanahashi follows that up by jumping off the top rope and onto his opponents.Lee nails Bushi with a suplex into a tiger bomb for a three count.

Winners: Dragon Lee, Ryusuke Taguchi, Manobu Nakanishi, Hiroyoshi Tanahashi & Michael Elgin

IWGP Junior Tag Team Title Match: RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Berretta) (Champions) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Taka Michinoku & Taichi)

The match begins with Michinoku and Taichi jumping the champions as the referee was distracted by their female manager, Romero recovers and he drops Taichi with a hurricarana. RPG Vice knock both of there opponents out of the ring before catching them both with suicide dives, Berretta brings Michinoku into the ring to chop him a few times. Taichi interferes and he knocks a charging Berretta out of the ring, Taichi uses a weapon to injure Berretta as Michinoku distracts the referee. Berretta is brought back into the ring and Michinoku works him over before tagging Taichi in, Taichi grabs the ring bell hammer and he hits Berretta in the head with it.

Taichi and Michinoku hit Berretta with a few double team moves in the corner, Taichi nails Berretta with a hard Irish whip into the corner. Berretta responds by dropping Taichi with a clothesline, Berretta goes for a tag and Romero is knocked off the ring apron by a member of Suzuki Gun. Berretta takes another beating before catching Taichi with a tornado DDT, Romero gets the tag and he catches Taichi with a top rope high cross body. Romero then hits Taichi and Michinoku with running clotheslines in the corner, Romero goes for Sliced Bread and he eventually nails Taichi with a mule kick to the head. Romero misses a charge in the corner and Taichi cracks him with an enzaguri for a near fall, Taichi misses a super kick and Romero nails him with a flying knee strike followed by Sliced Bread.

Berretta gets the tag and he instantly knocks Michinoku off the ring apron, RPG Vice hit Taichi with a series of double team maneuvers for a near fall. RPG Vice set up for their finisher and Suzuki Guns lad manager interferes, El Desparado hits Berretta with a chair and Taichi rolls him up for a near fall. Michinoku tags in and he rolls up Berretta for another near fall, Romero hits the ring and Taichi knocks him out of the ring. Michinoku throws Berretta out of the ring before taking out both members of RPG Vice with a suicide dive, Berretta is thrown back in the ring and Taichi cracks him with a super kick for a near fall. Taichi lifts up Berretta and Michinoku nails him with a springboard spin kick for a near fall, Michinoku locks Berretta in a cross face and Taichi nails him with a drop kick for another near fall.

Berretta then catches Michinoku with a Dude Buster from out of nowhere for a near fall, Taichi and Romero are brawling on the arena floor. Suzuki Gun members interfere again and Berretta takes them out with a chair, Taichi then hits Berretta with an enzaguri. RPG Vice recover and then take out Taichi with a double knee strike, Romero then takes out Taichi and other Suzuki Gun members with a suicide dive. RPG Vice hit Michinoku with a Strong Zero for the three count.

Winners: RPG Vice, still your IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions

After the match, El Desparado, Kanemaru and Taichi attack RPG Vice from behind. Kanemaru grabs the microphone and says that he wants to challenge for the titles with El Desparado as his partner.

IWGP NEVER Openweight Title Match: Hirooki Goto (Champion) vs. Juice Robinson

The match begins with Robinson quickly trapping Goto in the corner before assaulting him with a ton of clotheslines, Robinson then hits Goto with a cannonball senton. Robinson slams Goto before going to the top rope, Robinson nails Goto with a diving headbutt for the near fall. Goto escapes to the arena floor and Robinson meets him out there, the two exchange blows until Robinson tosses Goto into the barricade. Robinson misses a cannonball dive on Goto and he crashes into the barricade, Goto grabs Robinson and he tosses him into the ring post. Goto throws Robinson in the ring and he follows him in there to land a few stomps, Goto attacks the back of Robinson with forearm strikes.

Goto traps Robinson in the corner to assault him with a lot of strikes, Goto then hits Robinson with a hard Irish whip into the corner. Goto gets Robinson in a seated position before kicking him in the spine, Goto the locks Robinson in the Boston crab until Robinson gets to the ropes. Goto slows things down some more by holding Robinson in the chin lock, Robinson gets to his feet and he nails a charging Goto with a boot to the face. Robinson then clotheslines Goto out of the ring and onto the arena floor, Robinson then hits a plancha on Goto that sends both crashing to the arena floor. They battle back into the ring and Robinson hits Goto with a Russian leg sweep, Robinson then hits Goto with a senton followed by a splash for a near fall.

Goto and Robinson have a forearm strike exchange in the middle of the ring, Robinson escapes a hold to nail Goto with a super kick and a series of jabs. Robinson then drops Goto with a leg lariat to the face, Robinson follows that up by nailing Goto with a gut buster for a near fall. Robinson goes to the top rope and he misses a moonsault attempt, Robinson nails a charging Goto with a boot to the face that is followed by a left to the face. Robinson goes back to the top rope and Goto nails him with a spinning heel kick before meeting him up there, Robinson escapes from the top rope to hit Goto with a power bomb for a near fall. Robinson goes for his finisher and Goto counters with a release German suplex, Robinson and Goto exchange lariats.

Goto then cracks Robinson with a few headbutts, Robinson then drops a charging Goto with a lariat for a near fall. Robinson misses his finisher and Goto plants him on the top rope before nailing a GTR for a near fall, Robinson gets to his knees and Goto kicks him before getting another near fall. Goto cracks Robinson with another GTR for the three count.

Winner: Hirooki Goto, still your IWGP NEVER Openweight Champion

IWGP Tag Team Title Match: Chaos (Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii) (Champions) vs. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Homna) vs. Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, with the exception of Yano for a short time. Yano grabs a chair and he gets double team by the KES, Archer brings Yano into the ring and Yano starts taunting him. Yano tags Makabe into the match, Archer jumps Makabe as he hits the ring and the two exchange blows. Makabe drops Archer with a shoulder tackle and Yano tags himself in, Yano also removes the turnbuckle pad from the corner. Archer then drops Yano with a full Nelson slam, Archer waits for Yano to stand before clobbering him with a shoulder tackle.

Smith Jr tags in and he mauls Yano with strikes in the corner before choking him, Smith Jr slows things down by holding Yano in a chin lock. Yano eventually breaks the hold by getting to the ropes, Smith Jr then cracks Yano with some European uppercuts. Smith Jr knocks Yano into the exposed buckles, Smith Jr misses a charge at Yano and he nails the exposed buckles as well. Ishii tags in and he nails Smith Jr with a release German suplex, Archer hits the ring and Ishii throws him into the exposed buckles before landing a suplex. Makabe hits the ring and Ishii lays him out with a power slam, Homna interferes and he misses a falling headbutt.

Ishii and Smith Jr drop each other with some running clotheslines, Smith Jr then hits Ishii with a running power slam as Yano make the tag. Homna then hits Smith Jr with a face buster before landing the falling headbutt, Archer interferes and that allows Smith Jr to hit Homna with a butterfly suplex. KES work together to hit Homna with an elevated power slam for a near fall, Smith Jr follows that up by hitting Homna with a back suplex. Smith Jr sets up for a power bomb and Homna escapes to hit him with a headbutt, Makabe hits the ring and he cleans house on all of his opponents. Makabe mounts and punches Smith Jr in the corner, Homna then hits Smith Jr with a leaping headbutt for a near fall.

Homna goes to the top rope and Yano tags him as he lands the diving headbutt, Smith Jr tags in Archer as Yano argues with Homna. Archer hits both Yano and Homna with a diving double clothesline, Archer nails yano with a choke slam for a near fall. Homna interferes and Archer nails him with a running clothesline, Makabe hits the ring and he nails both members of KES with a series of clotheslines. Makabe eventually crashes into the exposed turnbuckle, but he recovers to drop both KES members with a double shoulder tackle. Yano hits the ring and he’s hit with a double clothesline from Homna and Makabe, Makabe places yano on the top rope as everybody else brawls on the arena floor. Makabe hits Yano with a German suplex from the top rope, KES interferes to try and hit Makabe with a Killer Bomb until Homna breaks everything up.

Ishii hits the ring and he attacks both of the KES, Makabe also hits the ring and he lays everybody out with clotheslines. Yano rolls up Makabe from out of nowhere to get the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii), still your IWGP Tag Team Champions

After the match, Killer Elite Squad attack various ringside personel. 

IWGP Heavyweight Title Match: Kazuchika Okada (Champion) vs. Minoru Suzuki

The match begins with Okada powering Suzuki into the ropes before taunting him, Suzuki backs Okada into the ropes before attacking his injured knee. Suzuki rolls for the knee bar and Okada scrambles to get to the ropes, Okada rolls out of the ring to take a breather. Okada returns to the ring and Suzuki kicks at his hurt leg, Okada responds by nailing Suzuki with forearm strikes. Okada drops Suzuki before catching him with a running drop kick to the head, Suzuki rolls to the ring apron and Okada nails him with a springboard drop kick that knocks him to the arena floor. Okada goes out of the ring and he throws Suzuki into the barricade, Okada brings Suzuki into the crowd before hanging him on the barricade to land a DDT.

Okada gets in the ring and Suzuki eventually gets in there as well, Okada then hits Suzuki with a neck breaker for the near fall. Okada slows things down by holding Suzuki in the bowtie stretch until Suzuki gets to the ropes, Okada stomps away at a downed and angry Suzuki. Okada then assaults Suzuki with a series of European uppercuts, Okada brings Suzuki to the arena floor before tossing him into the barricade. Taichi interferes and Suzuki kicks Okada in his hurt knee, Suzuki takes a camera stand and he smashes it on the knee of Okada. Suzuki wraps the leg of Okada around the barricade as Okada is in agony, Suzuki grabs a chair and he hits Okada in his hurt knee with it.

Suzuki attacks Gedo as well while Okada gets back into the ring, Suzuki continues attacking the hurt knee of Okada. Suzuki wraps the injured leg of Okada around the middle rope before nailing him with a drop kick, Suzuki continues wrenching away on the injured leg of Okada. Suzuki rolls for a knee bar and then Suzuki transitions to a modified surfboard hold, Suzuki then transitions that hold into a modified STF until Okada gets to the ropes. Suzuki starts to just stomp on a downed Okada, Suzuki goes to the middle rope and he jumps off to stomp on the knee of Okada. Suzuki waits for Okada to stand up before the two exchange a bunch of strikes in the center of the ring, Suzuki traps Okada in the corner before wrenching on his leg some more.

Okada tries fighting back and Suzuki attacks him with kicks to the face, Okada rocks Suzuki with a kick to the face before landing a bow tie neck breaker. Okada catches a corner Suzuki with a flying elbow strike that is followed by a DDT, Okada drops Suzuki with an uppercut for a near fall. Okada slams Suzuki before going to the top rope, Suzuki forces Okada to dive off the top rope and he hurts his knee. Suzuki catches Okada with a running kick for the near fall, Suzuki and Okada exchange forearm strikes in the center of the ring. Suzuki drops Okada and he applies the knee bar to him until he gets to the ropes. Suzuki kicks away at the injured knee of the downed Okada, Suzuki bends the injured leg of Okada in some awkward ways. Okada recovers and he drop kicks Suzuki right out of the ring, Okada goes out of the ring and Suzuki rolls into the ring.

Okada then catches Suzuki with a top rope missile drop kick for a near fall, Okada goes back to te top rope and he catches Suzuki with a top rope elbow drop. Okada goes for The Rainmaker and Suzuki counters with a knee bar until Okada gets to the ropes, Okada cannot stand up and Suzuki locks in the figure 4 leg lock on him until Okada can get to the ropes. Suzuki kicks away at a downed Okada, Okada recovers to catch Suzuki with a modified fireman’s carry. Suzuki and Okada have a forearm striking exchange in the center of the ring, Suzuki throws Okada into the referee and Taichi interferes to help out Suzuki. The Killer Elite Squad hit the ring to attack Okada as well, members of Chaos hit the ring and a brawl breaks out all over the place.

Okada then hits Suzuki with a drop kick after knocking Taichi out of the ring, Okada looks for a tombstone pile driver and Suzuki counters with another knee bar. Okada tries breaking the hold and Suzuki finds a way to hold onto it, Okada tries kicking Suzuki in the head a bunch of times and Suzuki maintains the hold. Suzuki changes the hold into a modified Texas cloverleaf and Okada eventually gets to the ropes after a long struggle, Suzuki just kicks away at a downed Okada to get a near fall. Okada stands up and Suzuki attacks him with a series of strikes, the two wrestlers exchange a bunch of slaps while in the middle of the ring. Suzuki eventually locks Okada in the sleeper, Okada quickly counters into a modified neck breaker from out of nowhere. Suzuki recovers and drops a charging Okada with a drop kick, Suzuki picks up Okada and he nails him with a striking combination.

Suzuki locks Okada in the sleeper hold again, Suzuki releases the sleeper to attempt a pile driver and Okada escapes to hit Suzuki with The Rainmaker. Okada picks up Suzuki and he clobbers him with another one of The Rainmakers, Okada picks up Suzuki again and he nails him with a German suplex followed by The Rainmaker for the three count.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada, still your IWGP Heavyweight Champion
