Four Questions Heading Into WWE Smackdown Live

The road to Wrestlemania continues as WWE Smackdown Live takes place from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. We are 12 days away from the 'Showcase of the Immortals' and it should be a red hot show this evening.

Right now, the only thing is announced is a tag team title match between American Alpha and The Usos.

There are plenty of questions heading into the second-to-last Smackdown Live before Wrestlemania, but these are the four biggest ones:

1) Do we get announcement of AJ Styles and Shane McMahon for Wrestlemania? The match is expected to be announced on this evening’s show after Styles’ vicious attack to McMahon on last week’s show. General Manager Daniel Bryan went on to fire Styles for his actions. At the end of the show, McMahon limped on to challenge Styles even though he is fired.

Fans aren’t too thrilled with the match as they want to see the man who many believe is the best wrestler in the world against someone better than the boss's kid. It will be interesting to see how WWE gets around Styles being fired.

Does McMahon overrule Bryan and bring Styles back? Or do they make it a non-sanctioned match?

2) Do The Miz and Maryse finally ask John Cena why he hasn’t asked Nikki Bella to get married? This angle has been by far the best thing done on the road to Wrestlemania. You can feel the emotion with every word that comes out the four of them and that is what you want to feel in wrestling. If you don’t have that, then the fans won’t be invested in your character.

The one thing which hasn’t been discussed at all is why Cena hasn’t asked Bella to marry him. They have been together a long time, have two television reality shows together and appear to be in love. Maybe WWE feels it is a sensitive issue to bring up but to give this feud more heat than anyone originally thought, tonight would be the night to bring up and raise the stakes into this highly anticipated match.

3) Will Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton finally have a confrontation? The last three weeks have seen Orton burn down the Wyatt compound to turn on Wyatt, Orton defeat Styles to once again become the No. 1 contender for the WWE championship and then on last week’s show, Wyatt put the ashes of Sister Abigail all over his face and has Satanic powers given by his sister.

A confrontation has to happen this evening. You cannot go throughout a build for one of the biggest matches on your premiere event and not have champion and challenger square off.

4) Who else is going to be in the Women’s Title Match? Alexa Bliss is supposed to defend the title against every woman on the Smackdown Live roster.

But, the only women who have been announced so far are Natalya, Carmella and Mickie James. Nikki Bella and Maryse are in a match so they are out.

Does Naomi return from her knee injury? How about Eva Marie, who's been away shooting Nicolas Cage movies? Or do we see the ladies from NXT? Perhaps some women from the Raw side could make an appearance? Will Emma finally make her return at WrestleMania 33?
