John Cena, who has been away from the WWE since the NO Mercy PPV on October 9, will return very soon.
It was announced during the Smackdown broadcast this evening that Cena's first date back on WWE TV will be two weeks from tonight, December 27, when Smackdown emanates from the AllState Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Actually, Cena will be making his official return at the December 26 Live Event in Madison Square Garden, New York City, but his first TV appearance won't be until the following night. He's been doing his fair share of TV during his time off, though. He filmed season 2 of his FOX competition reality show "American Grit" and hosted a very well received episode of Saturday Night Live last weekend.
