Kurt Angle Expects To Return To A WWE Ring, Reports Say It Could Be Sooner Rather Than Later

Kurt Angle talked to The Moose & Maggie Show on CBS Sports Radio and discussed his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

He talked about who might induct him--"Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, or John Cena ... if possible, Brock Lesnar"--he talked about his reaction to being told he was a Hall of Famer--"I was surprised I got it this early ... it made me feel pretty good"--and he talked about how he feels he's still got quite a bit left in the tank--"I'm not even done wrestling yet so it was a huge honor."

And that's where it got interesting.

According to Angle, he feels there's a very real possibility that he could return to the WWE in a much more significant role than just Hall of Fame inductee.

"I honestly, I talked to Triple H and I did throw that at him and he said 'Listen, we're not gonna talk about all of that until after the Hall Of Fame.' He did say we will talk afterwards. My guess is I will return. I'm not talking for WWE, I'm speaking for myself. I'd imagine it will occur sometime; I just don't know. But right now the main focus is the Hall Of Fame."

That's the standard answer he gives in most of his interviews when asked if he might get back in the ring for WWE again.

But now there's this new report at PWInsider which states that WWE is planning to put Angle on TV right away.

The report states that Angle is now expected to appear on the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw, which takes place from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on April 3rd.

There's no word yet on what his role might be, but Mick Foley keeps insinuating that his time as General Manager is coming to a close.

Any speculation at this point would be just that--speculation--but it's very exciting to think that we might be about a month away from hearing these familiar trumpets on Monday Night Raw:

Can't you just hear the crowd chanting "YOU SUCK" in time to the music?

It's inspiring.
