A lightweight division attraction is the newest addition to the upcoming Bellator 178 card as Saad Awad will be in action against Ryan Quinn.

Awad (19-9-0) has won just one of his last four fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone win coming over Evangelista Santos at Bellator 154. Awad will also be entering the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to the duo of Derek Anderson and Brennan Ward. Awad has spent the last four-plus years in Bellator MMA and he has earned a total of seven wins in the promotion.

Quinn (13-6-1) is currently undefeated in Bellator MMA competition, which includes a victory over UFC veteran Waylon Lowe. Quinn will be returning to the promotion for the first time in almost two years, but he does return to the promotion while on a two fight winning streak. Quinn has fought multiple times in Bellator MMA over the years, but he has never fought two fights in a row during his time in the promotion.

Bellator 178 takes place on Friday, April 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
