Mark Hunt Wanted Fabricio Werdum In UFC Fight Night Sydney Main Event

Heavyweight contender Mark Hunt is going to be fighting Marcin Tybura in the main event of UFC Fight Night Sydney.

Hunt originally wanted to face former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum at the event, but he claims the former champion had other plans.

Werdum and Hunt have fought before, with Werdum scoring a TKO win over Hunt to become the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion at UFC 180.

Since their first meeting at UFC 180, the “Super Samoan” has won just three of six in the UFC, while Werdum has won two of four, with one of those wins being for the UFC Heavyweight Title.

UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airslive on Fox Sports 1.
