Michael Bisping In Legal Battle With Ex-Coach

MMA

While UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has seen his fair share of battles inside of the Octagon, it’s one that’s outside of the Octagon that may be the most pressing.

The middleweight king pin is currently being sued by former coach Anthony McGann, who is the owner of The Wolfslair gym, a gym Bisping used to train at.

McGann is suing the champion for remaining $349,000 of a six year contract that McGann claims Bisping signed in 2005.

Bisping is saying that the contract he signed is a different one that what his ex-coach has presented and is simply attempting to swindle him out of more money.

In an interview with The Daily Star UK, the UFC Middleweight Champion stated that “...the contract I signed was not that big. It was to Wolfslair, not McGann. It’s not the contract I signed. It didn’t even have my name on it – it was a template."

This case has proved to be a challenging one for Bisping, who is currently back in his native England fighting the charges levied against him. The legal matter will also keep him out of the Octagon for the time being, which means no middleweight title bouts may be in our future for quite some time.
