Nate Diaz Not Fighting Or Answering The Phone For Less Than $20 Million

MMA

Nate Diaz had a remarkable 2016, defeating then UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor on less than two weeks notice at UFC 196. A few months later at UFC 202, McGregor would defeat Diaz by decision in what many call one of the greatest fights in UFC history. Diaz hasn’t stepped inside the octagon since that fateful rematch against McGregor, and it's going to take a huge sum of money to get him to both answer the phone and step inside the octagon once again.

"I'm only fighting at lightweight for a big fight or 20 million just to take the call," Diaz told MMA Fighting. "Until then, I'm just living my life."

MMA Fighting would also ask Diaz about a potential rubber match with the man who is now the UFC Lightweight Champion in McGregor.

"I already beat him, and they aren't paying enough to fight him again,” said Diaz.

Nate’s brother Nick may be back in the octagon before his younger brother, as Nick was recently told by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) that he’s able to both fight and take part in fight related activities in the state, Nick was suspended for a failed drug test after a loss to former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva nearly two years ago.
