John Cena may have come across a little stubborn on "Total Bellas" Wednesday, but according to girlfriend Nikki Bella, he may be softening his stance on marriage.
In an interview with The Real, a daytime talk show on BET and Fox, Bella said that she's actually expected Cena to propose several times.
“I mean, I think so. The past year, he’s actually talked about that he’s open to marriage so, of course, my hopes go through the roof. So, he’s like let’s go have this romantic dinner. I’m like ‘this is it.’ I feel like every moment I’m waiting for it. It’s been my birthday it’s been an anniversary… the holidays… I am going to Napa next week. See, I don’t want to get excited. Like I’m ruining everything because I get, like the perfect outfit. And here are those perfect moments and it’s like, ‘okay that was nice’.”
John Cena and Nikki Bella have been together for going on 4 years, shortly after Cena went through a divorce. The two co-star in the new reality series Total Bellas, with Daniel Bryan, Brie Bella, Johnny Ace, and other members of the Bella family.
In the series, John, Nikki, Brie and Bryan try to co-exist living in the same house. The show brings to light behind the scenes footage for everything from Bryan's retirement announcement to the struggles of injury recovery for both John and Nikki. It also chronicles Brie's retirement at Wrestlemania.
Cena and Bella's Total Bellas debuted Wednesday night. Both Cena and Bella are booked to compete on this Sunday's WWE No Mercy.
