Yesterday, Fightful brought you a story about how Alberto Del Rio told the MMA Hour that he was trying to get Paige to transition to MMA. But we didn't know how Paige felt about all this.
Until now.
TMZ Sports caught up with the couple and asked Paige if she'd like to try her hand at competitive Mixed Martial Arts.
Here was her response:
"I mean, when my time with WWE comes to an end at some point then maybe. I've actually really enjoyed it. I was like 'I want to start training like every single week,' which we're going to start doing. And Campbell, his boss, has been trying to get me to join him for such a long time. ... (Alberto) is a great trainer for me too, he's the one who's been training me. It's been really fun."
So not until her time with WWE comes to an end. And at just 24 years of age, with a WWE-produced movie about her life in the works, her career there doesn't seem to be drawing to a close any time soon.
So look for that Paige MMA career to launch sometime around 2022.
