Pentagon Jr Robbed At Gunpoint, Forcing Him To Miss Match Tonight vs Cody Rhodes

Crime is so rampant in some parts of Mexico that virtually no one is safe, not even a ninja skeleton whose hobbies include breaking dude's arms.

Penta El Zero M (formerly known as Pentagon Jr as well as Pentagon Dark on Lucha Underground) was robbed at gunpoint on his way to the airport to travel to Seattle for a DEFY Wrestling Event, where he would take on ROH Champion Cody Rhodes.

DEFY Wrestling released a statement:

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting extra details of the case, gleaned from sources close to Penta. It was early this morning, he was in an Uber on the way to the airport, when the vehicle was surrounded by three armed men on motorcycles. The men brandished their weapons, approached the vehicle and demanded Penta's wallet, keys, cellphone, and backpack, which contained his mask, ring gear, and passport.  Apparently, the only thing Penta really cared about was the backpack, because the sources say he tried to reason with the robbers to take everything else but let him keep the contents of the bag. Unfortunately, the thieves said no dice.

Penta was left unharmed after the incident, and he proceeded to the airport to attempt to board the flight without his passport. Mexican officials also played the heel today, and would not allow him to travel. When Penta either recovers the passport or is issued a new one, he'll be able to resume travelling to the US for his scheduled dates.

Once his paperwork issue has been resolved, he’ll be able to resume traveling to the United States for work.
