Roman Reigns Says The Boos In Arenas Don't Bother Him: "I've Never Met A Hater In Real Life"

The negative fan reaction to Roman Reigns does not appear to be going away anytime soon. The boos don't seem to bother Reigns, based on a recent interview.

Appearing on the Boomer & Carton show on the CBS Sports Network to promote WrestleMania 33, Reigns was asked about fans who booed him and said the following:

Lexis King To Represent WWE NXT At ROW No Limits On 5/11

"I think any fan would agree that it's about what they want. For me it's about them showing up and doing what they want and having fun, and if that entails booing me, then please. Pile in, baby. I'm a grown man, I got kids, I can handle it."

The negative fan reaction to Reigns started in earnest when he won the 2015 Royal Rumble and it's continued ever since in varying degrees. Recent rivalries with the likes of Rusev, Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens -- all heels -- have seen the fans cheering them against Roman -- sometimes loudly, depending on the make-up of each specific crowd. Despite failing to fully engage with the fans as a whole, WWE shows no signs of diminishing Reigns' status at the top of the card, according to recent reports about plans for next year's WrestleMania.

That being said, Reigns noted that he consistently has positive face-to-face interactions with fans.

"It's all love. I've never met a hater in real life," he said. "Everybody is nothing but kind. They want to take pictures, they want an autograph, everyone is great in real life. It's just whatever it may be, if they love to hate me, if it's the cool thing, but the cool thing about us is we're a family show ... it gives us a wide range of different people. We have grown men, we have young men, we have grown women, we have young women, we have kids."

Reigns takes on The Undertaker on April 2 at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
