Ring of Honor Episode 256 A New Era Begins In Ring Of Honor!

Welcome to the Fightful.com recap for this week's episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling. I'm Ryan Cook and I'll be taking you through everything as we begin a new Era in Ring of Honor with Adam Cole (BayBay!) as the new ROH World Champion!

Jonathan Grisham vs Adam Page

Jake Lee Added To 4/27 NJPW Road To Wrestling Dontaku

They forego the code of honor after Page spits in his own hand then attacks Grisham. Grisham hits a huricanrrana then a dropkick that sends Page outside. Grisham flips over the top rope then dives onto Page, but is caught then Page tosses him face first into the ring post as we go to commercial.

As we come back Page reverses a guillotine into a suplex for a quick 2 count. Grisham hits an bridged german for a quick 2 count of his own. Grisham is focusing on the arm of Adam Page, rolling him up for 2 then trying to lock in a crossface that Page gets out of. Page flips over the top rope and turns him inside out with a lariat then hits the Right of Passage for the pin and the win. Good showing by these two.

Winner: Adam Page via pinfall with the Right of Passage

-Wer get another The Cabinet promo for their match with Dalton Castle and The Boys. Then we get a video package for War Machine vs Lee and Taylor next week. Next is The Young Bucks vs The Addiction next week.

Kamaitachi vs STUKA JR

Kamaitachi pretty unsurprisingly doesn't shake Stuka's hand. They start off quick with so many flips and arm drags and head scissors I can't keep up then Stuka sends Kamaitachi out of the ring and dives out twice onto him. Daniels attacks Stuka as Kamaitachi distracts the referee as we go to commercial.

Kamaitachi sets Stuka on the top rope backwards then tries to unmask him as we come back. After abusing Stuka on the outside, Kama rolls him back in for a quick 2 count then goes to try and remove the mask yet again. Kama plays to the crowd, in complete control as he continues to drop Stuka, focusing on his leg. Kama hits a series of chops in the corner then attacks the lee inside the ropes. They run outside then Stuka hits a tilt a whirl backbreaker on the floor then hits a moonsault that takes out Kamaitachi. Stuka rolls him back in the ring for a quick 2 count. Stuka hits a neckbreaker for another quick 2 count. Stuka goes for another moonsault, but Kama gets his legs up. Stuka chops Kama then hits him with a shotgun dropkick for a quick 2. Kama hits a flip victory roll for a close 2 then they exchange pin attempts back and fourth, all getting only 2. Kama pulls the referee into him. Rather than going after Kama, Stuka takes out Daniels on the outside. Stuka hits El Torpedo, but the referee is out. Kama takes off Stuka's mask then rolls him up for the pin and the win. Great match and debut for Stuka.

Winner: Kamaitachi via pinfall

Jay White w/Motor CIty Machine Guns vs Jay Briscoe w/Mark Briscoe

They lock up for a clean break then Briscoe drops white with a wrist lock, flipping over a few times then hitting a quick roll up for 2. Briscoe knocks White down for a quick 1 count then Briscoe hits a front dropkick for a quick 2 count as we go to commercial; Jay Briscoe in control at this point.

As we come back Briscoe hits a beautiful dropkick that drops White, following it up with a measured kick to the face. Briscoe drops White then hits a double foot stomp for a quick 2 count, immediately following up with a headlock. White gets out then knocks Briscoe down with three elbows before Briscoe tosses White out to the floor then dives out after him. Briscoe tosses White into the ring then hits a reverse neckbreaker for a quick 2 count. Briscoe hits a european uppercut then a big boot, following it up with a death valley driver for a very close 2 count. Briscoe goes for the Jay Driller, but gets hit with a high angle german that sends Briscoe across the ring. White hits a series of uppercuts to Briscoe hung out on the apron then a suplex as we go to commercial.

As we come back they're in the ring, White in control and White goes to the top rope after dropping Briscoe, hitting a missile dropkick for a quick 2 count.  White drops Briscoe with a dropkick then a uranagi for a close 2 count, rolling over into a Nagata Lock, but he can't get the tap. Briscoe drops White then White goes for a victory roll, White deciding to just pound away at Briscoe from behind. Briscoe hits a huge lariat out of no where, but he's too tired to follow it up. Briscoe sets White up on the top rope, hitting a massive superplex, both too tired to go for the pin, not getting up until the count of 9 and only up to their knees, exchanging right hands. Right then the bell sounds and we are out of time for the show.. Great match though.

Winner: TV time expires and we have ourselves a draw
