Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed that NXT wrestler Chris Atkins has been released from the company.
The 26 year old Australian, who stands 6'6" and weighs 250 pounds, last wrestled at an NXT live event earlier this month against Oney Lorcan. He also competed at WrestleMania 33's Axxess event.
Signed in 2015 after attending a tryout, Atkins was seldom used at Live Events or on NXT TV. You can watch one of his only TV appearances at the top of the page.
There is no indication as to what precipitated Atkins' exit from WWE, and no word on any future plans.
Backstage interviewer and host Andrea D'marco was also cut after a year in the company. She confirmed the exit on her Twitter.
UPDATE: We can confirm that Theophilus Agbi has been released, after being signed just last year.
