Neville's henchman is finally getting his promised title shot.
Over the past few months, TJP has been helping out Neville with his "Austin Aries Problem," with the promise of a future Cruiserweight Title opportunity as a reward.
Now that Aries has been soundly defeated for the third time, TJP approached Neville backstage at Raw tonight looking to collect. Neville said that if TJP managed to defeat Mustafa Ali in their match which took place later that night.
TJP did in fact defeat Ali, but when Neville came out to ringside after the match, he said that Raw GM Kurt Angle refused to agree to TJP's title match. TJP did not accept this as an answer and told Neville they were going to go backstage and talk to Kurt together. But no sooner did TJP turn his back, but Neville attacked him from behind and screamed at TJP that he would, in fact, get his title shot. On 205 Live tomorrow night.
TJP (aka TJ Perkins) was the first Cruiserweight Champion of this new iteration, having won the Cruiserweight Classic tournament last summer. Neville has been Cruiserweight Champion since defeating Rich Swann at The Royal Rumble.
