UFC Fight Pass Twitter Puts Tyron Woodley On Blast

MMA

When the UFC Fight Pass Twitter announced on Tuesday that Nate Marquardt and Tamdan McCrory were going to be the headlining fight on the UFC's streaming subscription service, it largely went unnoticed.

A few hours later, more eyeballs were on it when the Twitter account highlighted Marquardt knocking out welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in July 2012 to win the Strikeforce welterweight title.

The UFC social media team probably didn't mean to show Woodley in that manner as they are trying to get people to see the Marquardt and McCrory fight. As expected, Woodley didn't take too kindly to the post.

Woodley is slated to make his first title defense against Stephen Thompson at UFC 205 on Nov. 12 from Madision Square Garden in New York City after he didn't get his wish of fighting either former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre or Nick Diaz.
