A welterweight division clash is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 109 card as Darren Till will see action against Jessin Ayari.
Till (13-0-1) has competed twice under the UFC banner, with a victory over Wendell De Oliveira Marques at UFC Fight Night 67 and then a draw against Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 76. Till hasn’t competed in just about two years, as his UFC Fight Night 76 bout took place in October of 2015. Till is also a former MMA Sandra Combat Welterweight Champion, but he relinquished the title when he signed with the UFC.
Ayari (16-3-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Jim Wallhead by split decision at UFC Fight Night 93. Ayari is going to be entering this fight on the strength of a seven fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over four years. Ayari saw the first eight of his professional MMA fights end within the opening round and he did have a fight go past that opening round for the first two-plus years of his MMA career.
UFC Fight Night 109 takes place on Saturday, May 28 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
