On the April 15 episode of WWE Raw, The Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth) were presented with the new World Tag Team Championship. DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) then earned a title shot by defeating The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) and the Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius Creed).
In a Raw Exclusive, The Awesome Truth were asked about their upcoming match against DIY on the April 22 episode of WWE Raw.
The Miz: Expect the unexpected. You never know what to expect when you are the tag team champions. So we are ready, we’re prepared. We know them inside and out. I feel like we’re pretty good friends.
R-Truth: We’re great friends with them. You talking about Shawn and Triple H?
TM: Yes. That’s exactly who I’m talking about. We gotta go do some stuff.
Awesome Truth and DIY fought alongside each other against the Judgment Day ahead of WWE WrestleMania XL.
