Shawn Michaels has confirmed the main event of NXT Stand & Deliver.
As first reported by Fightful Select's Corey Brennan on March 25, the grudge match between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams will headline NXT Stand & Deliver on April 6.
Shawn Michaels confirmed the news to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, explaining why he believes this particular match has earned the headlining spot on NXT's biggest event of the year.
“The Trick Williams-Carmelo Hayes story has been a driving force of NXT over the past several months,” said Michaels. “It deserves to be the main event of what is sure to be a memorable NXT Stand and Deliver.”
No stranger to the story of friends becoming foes, Triple H has even weighed in on the main event announcement on social media. On X, WWE's chief content officer and original mastermind of NXT praised the bout as being worthy of this spot.
