Shelton Benjamin Says He's Still Keeping His Options Open, Wants To Return To Japan

Shelton Benjamin is still keeping his options open.

Shelton Benjamin was released by WWE in September 2023 and has been a free agent since his 90-day non-compete expired in January. Benjamin has been announced for various independent events, but has not committed to a single company.

Speaking to Simon Miller of WhatCulture, Benjamin was asked about his future in wrestling.

"My immediate plan is to just coast a bit and see what is out there, see what life has to offer. For seven years, I was with WWE and I had a ten-year run with them before that. For now, I'm not in any rush. I'm keeping my options open. I can't say anyone is more of a front-runner than anybody. I definitely want to come back to the UK. I'm desperate to get back to Japan. I really really want to go back to Japan," he said.

Benjamin noted that he likes going on overseas tours.

Benjamin is set to compete at PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16.
