The World Series Of Fighting was supposed to run its first event of 2017, WSOF 35, on February 25, but that event has been postponed until March 18.

WSOF President Rey Sefo would not give much information on why the event was postponed or even what changes will be made for the new date of March 18.

The lone fight that was announced for the WSOF 35 was a bout for the WSOF Heavyweight Title as champion Blagoy Ivanov was set to defend against UFC veteran Shawn Jordan, it’s unknown at this time if the fight will remain on the card.

The promotion canceled two events towards the end of the year, but that was done to create a super card for the promotion's debut in New York, which saw lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, welterweight champion Jon Fitch, middleweight champion David Branch and bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes all defend their belts, plus other notables like Jake Shields, Yushin Okami, Paul Bradley.

According to the WSOF’s website, there are currently no other events scheduled beyond WSOF 35, whereas the UFC, Bellator MMA and even One Championships have events announced through the majority of the year.
