WWE Main Event Report For December 29: Lince Dorado vs. Tony Nese & Titus O'Neil In Action

Welcome to this weeks edition of WWE Main Event, your broadcast team for this show consist of Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Austin Aries.

Curtis Axel vs. Titus O’Neil

The match begins with O’Neil overpowering Axel and tossing him into the turnbuckles, Axel gets mad and he assaults O’Neil with a bunch of strikes. Axel then drops O’Neil with a drop kick after kicking him in the face, O’Neil rolls out of the ring and he kicks the knee of Axel when he returns to the ring. O’Neil then takes Axels leg and he smashes it on the mat below, O’Neil follows that up by smashing Axel’s knee in the ringside edge a few times. O’Neil trash talks to the fans and Axel attempts to fight back, O’Neil then nails an atomic drop on the knee of Axel. O’Neil then applies the spinning toe hold to a downed Axel, Axel tries fighting back again and O’Neil just stomps on him.

O’Neil then focuses on the knee of Axel by kicking him there a few times, O’Neil reapplies the spinning toe hold to Axel. Axel fights back again and O’Neil stops his momentum by landing a few punches, Axel drops O’Neil by kicking him in the knee. O’Neil charges at Axel and he eats a boot to the face, Axel then decks O’Neil with a few punches to the face before kicking him in the side of the head. Axel then cracks O’Neil with a running knee strike for the near fall, Axel sets up for the Son Of Perfectplex. O’Neil escapes the hold and he nails Axel with Clash Of The Titus to get the three count.

Winner: Titus O’Neil

The first Raw Flashback of the evening shows Cesaro & Sheamus successfully defending the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles against The New Day.

Another Raw Flashback airs, this time we see Sami Zayn interfering in a match between Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins, then Chris Jericho’s attack on Rollins after the match.

Lince Dorado vs. Tony Nese

The match begins with Dorado taking down Nese with an arm drag and an hurricarana, Dorado catches Nese with a roll up for a near fall. Dorado again catches Nese with some arm drags before wrenching on his arm, Nese then cracks a charging Dorado with a forearm strike. Nese follows that up by assaulting Dorado with strikes in the corner, Nese then slams Dorado before catching him with a series of leg drops for a near fall. Nese waits for Dorado to get into a seated position before kicking him in the back, Nese brings Dorado into the corner before attacking him with chops. Dorado tries fighting back and Nese trips him up, Nese misses a springboard moonsault and he rolls out of the ring.

Dorado then catches Nese with a springboard moonsault on the arena floor as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Dorado nailing Nese with a high cross body. Nese recovers by first distracting the ref and then nailing Dorado with a clothesline, Nese mounts Dorado and he attacks him with a bunch of strikes. Nese then sends Dorado into the ropes before cracking him with a leg lariat, Nese then drops Dorado with a hard Irish whip into the turnbuckles. Nese misses a charge in the corner and Dorado catches him with a punch, Dorado drops Nese with a drop toe hold before landing a roll up for a near fall.

Nese recovers by dropping Dorado with a series of strikes for a near fall, Nese slows things down further by holding Dorado in the body scissors. Dorado fights back by catching Nese with a jaw breaker and a few punches, Dorado then drops Nese with a flying forearm strike. Dorado follows that up by nailing Nese with a handspring ace crusher for a near fall, Dorado knocks Nese into the corner after a series of reversals before landing a spinning heel kick. Dorado nails Nese with the shooting star press for the three count.

Winner: Lince Dorado

The final Raw Flashback of the show sees WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns successfully defend the gold against WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
