WWE Main Event Report For February 10: Rusev vs. Sin Cara & Curtis Axel In Action

Welcome to the WWE Main Event report for February 10, your commentary team for the evening will be Tom Phillips, Austin Aries and Byron Saxton.

Bo Dallas vs. Curtis Axel

The match begins with Dallas cheap shotting Axel with a clothesline during a handshake between the two, Axel fights back by nailing Dallas with a plethora of punches. Axel quickly drops Dallas with a standing drop kick, Axel mounts Dallas in the corner while assaulting him with more punches. Dallas recovers and he drops Axel across the top rope, Dallas drops Axel with a clothesline to get a near fall. Dallas then slows things down by applying a chin lock to Axel, Dallas releases the hold to crush Axel with a series of knee drops before applying the chin lock again.

Axel tries fighting back and he eventually drops Dallas with an Irish whip into the turnbuckles, Axel gets up and he drops Dallas with a series of clotheslines. Axel then hits Dallas with a shoulder block in the corner before landing a running neck breaker for a near fall, Axel hits Dallas with the Son Of Perfectplex for the three count.

Winner: Curtis Axel

The first Raw Flashback of the show airs, we see Goldberg challenging Kevin Owens to a WWE Universal Title Match at WWE Fast Lane, which Chris Jericho accepts on Goldberg’s behalf.

Another Raw Flashback airs next, we now see Chris Jericho successfully defend the WWE United States Title against Sami Zayn after interference from Kevin Owens.

Rusev w/Lana vs. Sin Cara

The match begins with Rusev powering Cara into the corner a few times, Rusev starts assaulting Cara with strikes in the corner. Cara fights back by nailing Rusev with a series of forearm strikes, Cara tries slamming Rusev and Rusev counters with a slam of his own. Rusev picks up Cara and he nails him with a few strikes, Cara recovers and he knocks Rusev out of the ring with a drop kick. Cara goes for a baseball slide drop kick and Rusev catches him before planting him on the arena floor as we go to commercial break.

We return from the commercial break to see Rusev stomping on a downed Cara, Cara tries fighting back again and Rusev drops him with a forearm strike. Rusev then hits Cara with a running elbow drop for a near fall, Rusev traps the arm of Cara around the ropes while wrenching away on it. Rusev attacks the injured shoulder of Cara by nailing him with shoulder thrusts, Cara catches Rusev with a roll up and an angry Rusev nails him with a clothesline afterwards. Rusev continues wrenching away on the arm of Cara, Rusev slams Cara again and then he misses the follow up splash.

Cara then cracks a charging Rusev with some boots to the face, Cara then hits Rusev with a springboard elbow strike followed by a hurricarana. Cara then cracks Rusev with a springboard moonsault for a near fall, Rusev starts fighting back and he nails Cara with the avalanche. Rusev misses the next charge to the corner and Cara drops him with a slam, Cara catches Rusev with a top rope frog slash for a near fall. Cara then hits Rusev with a double stomp before going back to the top rope, Rusev gets his knees up on the swanton bomb attempt. Rusev kicks Cara in the head before applying the Accolade to force a submission.

Winner: Rusev w/Lana

The final Raw Flashback of the night shows Samoa Joe defeating Roman Reigns after interference from Braun Strowman.
