WWE NXT 1/18 Shinsuke Nakamura VS Bobby Roode Contract Signing & More!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! We are just two weeks away from NXT TakeOver: San Antonio where Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his NXT World Championship against Bobby Roode but before that we have a contract signing tonight so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST!

Nikki Cross vs Kennedy Lewis

Cody Rhodes Wants To Say He Will Face The Rock, 'It Will Come Down To Me Being A Great Champion'

Nikki is in control the entire time then hits a spinning neckbreaker for the pin and the win. The entrances were longer than the match.

Winner: Nikki Cross via pinfall

-We get an interview with The Revival who say that the title match at TakeOver should be a triple threat. 

Roderick Strong vs Steve Cutler

Strong puts a wrist lock on Cutler, but he backs him into the corner for a break then Strong drops him with a boot. Strong chops Cutler in the corner then they run the ropes before Cutler catches Strong. Steve whips Strong into the corner then Strong comes back and hits Steve with a variation of an Olympic slam then The End of Heartache for the pin and  the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong via pinfall

-We then get an interview with Ember Moon, but Liv ends up interrupting her, setting up a match between the two at TakeOver. 

-Next Tye Dillinger comes out talks about the next phase of his career that he has no idea about as the crowd chants Royal Rumble. Tye says he doesn't' know if he has it anymore and questions if he belongs in NXT anymore and whether or not he is  still a perfect 10. Sanity come out and Erick Young says that Tye doesn't have and it and never has, but he could have it. Erick says Tye needs guidance then Alexander Wolfe brings a jacket down to the ring and hands it to Tye, seemingly inviting him to join Sanity. Tye tosses the jacket out of the ring and Erick says he understands how the right decision can feel wrong and that the right choice can be unclear, saying he's been in the same spot. Erick says he can do it their way and he can have everything if he chooses to make 2017 perfect. Erick goes on to say that he's not asking him to join, he's telling him to then Tye mocks him before sending Wolfe out of the ring then goes for the Tye Breaker, but Damo spears Tye out of no where. Damo then hits Tye with a variation of a One Winged Angel.before joining Sanity. 

TM61 vs The Revival

They fight around ringside then Thorne is taken out by Dawson in the ring. Wilder is tagged in and they double team Thorne for a quick 2 count. Dawson drops Thorne repeatedly and mocks him before he starts fighting back, getting a close 2 count off of a backslide then there's a double tag as The Revival hit The Shatter Machine to Thorne. Miller comes in and is dropped with a spinebuster by Wilder who quickly tags Dawson back in. Miller rolls up Dawson out of no where when Thorne grabs Wilder for the pin and the win.

Winner: TM61 via pinfall

-After the match The Revival beat on Miller then hit him with The Shatter Machine. They then try to break the leg of Thorne before leaving who has a legitimate injury that he has to have surgery on.

-William Regal has Roode come out first then Shinsuke and Roode tries his best to get under Shinsuke's skin. Roode talks about his giving Shinsuke his ticket he had to NXT TakeOver:Dallas when Shinsuke debuted. Roode goes on to talk about how Shinsuke has beaten Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. Roode says that Shinsuke has no style, insulting his hair and saying he looks like Michael Jackson in Thriller. Shinsuke just laughs and says Bobby looks like a Shiba Inu, a variety of Japanese dog. Roode says this isn't Japan and that Shinsuke is a joke and that times are changing. Roode goes on to say that when he wins the belt it will be glorious, but Shinsuke interrupts him and says he's not taking his belt. Shinsuke then signs the contract before saying he's going to kick him in the head at TakeOver. Shinsuke mocks Roode and starts to say that it will be glorious, but stops and they square off as we go off the air.
