The Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! Tonight we a packed show as Johnny Gargano returns to in-ring competition and Aleister Black faces off against the NXT newcomer Kyle O'Reilly! Be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for an hour showcasing the NXT brand!
Johnny Gargano vs Raul Mendoza
They start the match by grappling, Raul showing off his grappling prowess by taking Gargano down repeatedly. Gargano comes back with a kick that drops Mendoza before chopping him and dropping him with a lariat that nearly turns him inside out. Mendoza comes back with an enzuigiri before Johnny puts him in a cross face for the ttap and the win.
Winner: Johnny Gargano via submission
-Asuka comes out to the ring and talks about her defending her NXT Women's Championship against Ember Moon at NXT Takeover Brooklyn before she comes out to the ring and talks about her return to the ring after being injured. They trade barbs and square off before Asuka offers to shake Ember's hand before slapping her. Ember then drops Asuka with a forearm before Asuka drops her with a roundhouse and tosses her out of the ring. Ember then hits the Eclipse as Asuka is playing to the crowd out of nowhere before leaving as we go to commercial.
-Bobby Roode is interviewed backstage before Roderick Strong attacks him, officials and William Regal showing up to break up the confrontation shortly after.
Sonya DeVille vs Jenna Van Bemmel
Sonya mocks Jenna to start the match, asking her to hit her before dropping her with a running clothesline. Sonya hits her with a series of knees that drops her before locking in a flying triangle armbar for the tap and the win.
Winner: Sonya DeVille via submission
-Hideo Itami comes out to the ring and talks before Aleister Black comes out to the ring, seemingly setting up a match, however before he match can start Black hits Itami with the Black Mass knocking him out before the match can start as we go to commercial.
Aleister Black vs Kyle O'Reilly
They start the match off in anMMA-esque manner before Kyle locks in a triangle twice, but Black gets out of it both before dropping him with a a roundhouse kick as we go to commercial.
Black drops Kyle with a kick before backing him into the corner and kicking him more until he collapses in a heap in the corner as we come back from commercial. Kyle comes back with a series of strikes before starting to focus his arm, then locks in an acachilles lock before transitioning into an ankle lock. Black gets out of it before Kyle wrenches Black back down to the canvas before putting him in an armbar. Kyle puts Black in a leg scissor before beating on him with with elbows to the back and neck as we go to commercial.
Kyle is in control as we come back from commercial, beating Black down with a hammerlock while hitting him with forearms before Black fires back with kicks in the corner and a running knee drop for a quick two count. Black powers out of a top wrist lock before coming back with a series of strikes. Black goes for the Black Mass, but Kyle catches his leg and drops him for a near fall. They then exchange strikes before Black hits the Black Mass for the pin and the win.
Winner: Aleister Black via pinfall
