Wren had been trying to align with No Quarter Catch Crew after she caught Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, and Myles Borne taking care of a problem on the July 16th episode of NXT.
Earlier at NXT Great American Bash night two, D’Angelo offered Dempsey a shot at the NXT Heritage Cup Championship if Wren won. Wren used that as leverage to get Dempsey to agree to let her in the group if she won.
