Adam Page speaks.
The July 16 edition of AEW Dynamite kicked off with an appearance from the new AEW World Champion, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
After accepting the ‘You Deserve It’ chants from the fans, Page told the fans that they deserve it, prompting ‘We Deserve It’ chants. Page applauded the fans for supporting AEW from day one, crediting them for the company’s existence.
Then, Page started naming off the people that helped fight the war against the Death Riders, mentioning names like Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Jay White, and others. Page also singled out Will Ospreay, thanking him for paying the price to make sure the glory was restored to the company.
After being bombarded with Swerve Strickland chants, Page addressed the 34-year-old, thanking him for his help even if he doesn’t fully understand his motivations.
Page ended his promo by loudly declaring that he’s the champion of the world.
