KENTA Speaks About GHC Heavyweight Title Win, Calls Kenoh ‘The MVP’ Of NOAH’s Weekend

KENTA is the new GHC Heavyweight Champion.
For the first time in over a decade, KENTA is holding Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Championship. He won the belt from Kenoh on day two of NOAH’s ‘New Departure’ show, just one day after Kenoh bested OZAWA to become GHC Heavyweight Champion.
NOAH conducted the first interview with KENTA after his title win, and he commented on his victory.
“Of course, I’m happy, but NOAH is on a roll right now, and I’ve become the champion again. I feel a sense of responsibility to maintain that momentum.
After I left NOAH, many things happened, I made many choices, and I came back to NOAH. I was able to create something, so I knew my choice was not wrong, and I think that a lot of things have come together to get me to this point.”
KENTA would go on to call Kenoh the MVP of NOAH’s string of shows over the weekend because he wrestled in two GHC Heavyweight Championship matches.
“Looking back on these two days, I think Kenoh was clearly the MVP. He really helped to energize the crowd… As someone who was with NOAH from the beginning, Kenoh isn’t a native member, but he’s done so much for NOAH. I want to work together to make NOAH even better. Of course, there’s the joy of winning the belt, but these two days also brought out those feelings.”
KENTA’s first title defense is scheduled for August 16th at NOAH ‘Star Navigation Premium.’ He’ll be defending against Naomichi Marufuji.
