Blake Monroe Wins NXT TV Debut, Brawls With Jordynne Grace

Blake Monroe achieved a victory in her WWE NXT TV singles debut. The match took place on the July 22 episode of WWE NXT, where she defeated Wren Sinclair. Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May in AEW, used a Butterfly DDT to secure the win. In the past, the move has been successfully used by Mick Foley, Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose), and Cora Jade.

However, Blake Monroe’s night didn’t end there. Ever since Monroe betrayed her at WWE Evolution and cost her a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, Jordynne Grace has been eager to get her hands on her. Although Ava barred Grace from the arena on July 22, she forced her way through the crowd and launched a surprise attack on Monroe. Despite the ambush, Monroe ultimately gained the upper hand and laid Grace out with a DDT onto a steel chair.

Blake Monroe won her televised WWE NXT debut at the WWE NXT Great American Bash. She teamed with grace to defeat Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. She is a former AEW Women’s World Champion. She lost the title earlier this year to “Timeless” Toni Storm at AEW Grand Slam: Australia.
