Cody Rhodes: I Consider The Rock As Always Being There

Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) asked Cody Rhodes for his soul. Rhodes turned down Rock’s offer, but John Cena aligned with The Rock and turned on Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber.

The Rock has not been seen on WWE TV since, but has been referenced in promos by Rhodes and Cena.

Speaking to Gabby LaSpisa on Gabby AF, Rhodes was asked about Rock potentially returning.

“I consider him always there just because he is truly on the board and massive part of our world. Right now, what he’s doing, people need to let him have his moment. Working with (Martin) Scorsese, Smashing Machine, he’s really going for it. As a wrestler, love or hate, you enjoy that. You see that and go, ‘Get this done,'” said Rhodes.

On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Cena seemingly turned back to his babyface form, saying he flushed his reputation down the toilet five months ago to make shocking television.

Rhodes will face Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a street fight at WWE SummerSlam.
