Seth Rollins Cashes In, Wins WWE World Heavyweight Title At WWE SummerSlam

Seth Rollins walked out of night one of WWE SummerSlam as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
CM Punk defeated Gunther to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title in the main event of WWE SummerSlam, finishing him off with back-to-back GTS’s.
Punk was handed the title and got to soak in the moment until “Burn is Down” hit. Rollins and Paul Heyman came out with Rollins on crutches and sporting a knee brace.
Rollins turned to leave, but then dropped the crutches and took off the brace, showing that he wasn’t hurt.
Rollins sprinted to the ring and bashed Punk with the briefcase before handing it to the referee, signifying he wanted to cash in. Rollins hit one stomp and pinned Punk to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

This marks the second reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion for Rollins. Punk’s reign lasted just minutes. Gunther’s reign lasted 55 days.
Punk earned his shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title by winning a gauntlet match on the July 14th episode of WWE Raw. He entered the gauntlet last and defeated Bron Breakker to win the match.
Rollins suffered a “knee injury” at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th, but it turned out to be a ruse.
