Johnny Gargano: No, I Did Not Sleep On The Couch Last Night

Johnny Gargano says he did not end up on the couch after Candice LeRae’s ugly landing at SummerSlam.

Night two of WWE SummerSlam 2025 featured six of SmackDown’s top tag teams facing off in a massive TLC bout for the gold. During the course of the match, even more bodies would make their way down to the ring in order to get involved, including Candice LeRae. However, it would prove to backfire on LeRae enormously, as while she attempted to take down the titles for DIY, her ladder would be bumped into, sending her crashing to the outside of the ring and through a ladder.

Following the spot, Gargano would give LeRae a thumbs up before turning and attempting to win the match, with the announce desk joking that Gargano would be sleeping on the couch after it. On social media on Monday, Gargano noted that he didn’t sleep on the coach. However, he did note that there was no couch in he and Candice’s hotel room.

Gargano and Ciampa would end up coming up short in the TLC match, as The Wyatt Sicks would use their numbers advantage to retain the titles.
