Jacob Fatu Reflects On His Journey From Working At Walmart To Seeing His WWE Action Figure

Jacob Fatu has become one of the top stars in WWE in just over a year since his debut in June 2024.
Fatu made his name on the independent scene, and overcame an early life that included being jailed at 18 for robbery.
Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Fatu was asked about previously working at Walmart to seeing his action figure at San Diego Comic Con.
“I used to do all jobs. I used to work overnight at lows. I was the best stocker at Walmart. You go down my aisle, they couldn’t touch me down there. The craziest thing about that, on my lunch breaks, I’m such a fan of my family. If I didn’t love my family and the business, I wouldn’t be here. Me working at Walmart, to working overnight at Lowes to having side jobs here and there, anything I had to do to put food on the table, especially during the pandemic. Everyone knows how that thing was. I was doing anything and everything. I ain’t ashamed because my father did that. I’ve seen my father picking up cans during my Pop Warner football games. I remember, I was crying one day and I saw him. My mom said, ‘Don’t be embarrassed, that’s your dad.’ I will never forget, the following week, I asked my dad, ‘You got some lunch money?’ He opened his wallet, ‘Yeah, your ass was crying about me picking up those cans. Remember, that’s where this $10 came from.’ I’ll do anything and everything to take care (of my family).
“It’s mind-blowing to have my own action figure, coming from Sacramento County Jail to having my action figure there. I’m happy my kids are old enough to where they are able to see this. My kids have been through the whole grind with me. It’s really good.”
Fatu said he is blessed to be where he is at and have an action figure and be in WWE 2K.
While making media rounds ahead of WWE SummerSlam, Fatu commented on his WWE debut. You can find his comments here.
