Dominik Mysterio: The IC Title Is Known As The Working Man’s Title, But Whatever Is Best For Dirty Dom Is What I’m Going To Do

Dominik Mysterio is going to do what is best for Dominik Mysterio.
Since beginning his reign as the Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania XL, Mysterio has only defended the title on four occasions. Some fans have criticized his booking, arguing that the title should be spotlighted on a regular basis.
Speaking with Bleacher Report for a new interview, Mysterio dismissed the previous reputation of the Intercontinental Championship, saying that he would go a year without defending the belt if he had to.
“I know it is known as the working man’s title, but at the end of the day, whatever is best for Dirty Dom is what I’m going to do. Whatever is best for the I.C. title is what I’m going to do, and if that means defending it every week, I’ll defend it every week. If that means defending it every other month, I’ll do it every other month. It honestly just depends on who I think deserves a title shot, and if I don’t think anyone deserves a title shot, hell, I won’t defend it for a year if I have to.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Dominik Mysterio talked about possibly adapting the ‘Mr. SummerSlam’ name. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
