Tony Atlas ‘Kind Of Glad’ WWE Didn’t Invite Him To Hulk Hogan Tributes: “I Would Only Have Been There For The Money, Not For Him”

Atlas is still active in the ring.

There’s a feature story about WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas via the Portland Press Herald. It is centered around Atlas being in action at Limitless Wrestling’s show on August 9th.

Atlas is still active in the ring at 71 years old and stated that he’ll continue wrestling until he dies.

“Until I die,” Atlas said when asked how long he plans to wrestle. “I work out every day. I go to the (YMCA). I’m there just about every morning. It built my life. I don’t know how to do anything else. The only other thing other than wrestling I know how to do is personal training and draw.”

Atlas has a history with the late Terry Bollea a.k.a. Hulk Hogan. WWE held tributes for Hogan across their Raw, SmackDown, and SummerSlam programming.

Atlas was not one of the legends brought in to be part of the tributes, and he’s glad he was not asked because he would have only been there for the money.

“I’m kind of glad that they didn’t invite me because then I would only have been there for the money, not for him.”

Atlas is in the midst of his 51st year as a wrestler. He’s wrestled five times in 2025 and is regularly selling merchandise and signing autographs at conventions.
