A recent report from AdWeek discusses Netflix concluding its upfront negotiations. In the television industry, upfronts are events where top networks and streaming platforms present their upcoming shows to advertisers.
The report states that Amy Reinhard, Netflix’s Ads president, announced that the platform “more than doubled” its overall ad commitments. It also experienced year-over-year growth across several categories. Regarding WWE Raw, which started streaming on the service in January this year, it is highlighted that DoorDash will serve as the presenting sponsor for the upcoming season of the longest-running weekly episodic television show in history.
WWE has not announced when the next season of WWE Raw will begin.
WWE recently changed its approach to sponsorships by featuring multiple sponsors on the ring canvas. Specific props are also sponsored, such as Slim Jim sponsoring WWE tables. Cash App also sponsored this year’s Money in the Bank briefcases.
