Chris Jericho Likes Instagram Post About AEW Contract And Possible WWE Return

Chris Jericho liked a post on Instagram suggesting he would be open to returning to WWE under the right circumstances.

Chris Jericho is a key figure in AEW’s early days. He was the first former WWE World Heavyweight Champion to sign with the promotion and was the inaugural AEW World Champion. Over the past six years, he has gone through various phases in his career and is very proud to have helped establish All Elite Wrestling.

However, before 2018 and his reemergence in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Jericho was firm that he would never wrestle outside of WWE, having spent nearly two decades with the sports entertainment giant.

Chris Jericho’s future status has generated some curiosity after the former World Heavyweight Champion posted on Instagram from JM Playground. The post mentioned that his current contract expires in December 2025 and that he would be open to returning to WWE, depending on the situation.

Chris Jericho hasn’t wrestled since AEW Dynamite on April 6, when he lost the Ring of Honor World Championship to Bandido. He later stated on screen that he was taking time away from AEW to figure things out.

Chris Jericho, who has a career worthy of induction into any Hall of Fame, has previously stated that he doesn’t need a WWE Hall of Fame induction. Fans can read his comments here.
