The Hollywood Reporter Ranks The Ten Best Wrestlers Turned Actors; Dave Bautista Tops The List

The Hollywood Reporter ranks wrestlers turned actors.

Just ahead of the premiere of ‘Peacemaker’ season two, the outlet published a ranking list for the best wrestlers turned actors on Monday, August 18.

In tenth place, Andre The Giant was touted for his role in The Princess Bride. Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura came in ninth place, with the outlet mentioning his roles in Predator, Demolition Man, and The Running Man.

Paul Wight, a.k.a The Big Show, came in eighth place, as he was praised for turns in The Waterboy and Jingle All The Way. Just weeks after his passing, Hulk Hogan ranked in seventh place, held up by his roles in Rocky III, Suburban Commando, No Holds Barred, Mr. Nanny, and Thunder In Paradise.

Kevin Nash ranked above his NWO running mate, coming in sixth place for his role in the Magic Mike franchise. Adam Copeland came in one spot above Nash, scoring praise for his roles in Vikings and the Percy Jackson television show.

In fourth place, Roddy Piper was touted for his They Live and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia roles. You couldn’t see third place, because John Cena took that spot.

To round out the ranking, Dwayne Johnson ranked in second place, with the outlet correctly noting that he’s the most successful actor on the entire list. Dave Bautista topped the list.
