Je’Von Evans Earns NXT Title Match At NXT Heatwave, Mike Santana Distracts Trick Williams On WWE NXT
Je’Von Evans is headed to NXT Heatwave to face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.
Evans earned his shot by defeating Trick Williams in a number one contender’s match in the main event on the August 19th episode of NXT. The finish saw Mike Santana appear in the balcony and make a gun motion towards Trick.
With the distraction, Evans hit a cutter followed by a springboard cutter to secure the pin and his title shot.

During the bout, Trick shoved Je’Von off the top rope and through the announce table on the floor. Despite the rough landing, Je’Von was able to beat the count and make it back in the ring.
